Introduced for the 1997 model year, the Ford Expedition was introduced as the successor of the Ford Bronco. The full-size SUV was the first of its kind to be sold with a four-door body style. Throughout the years of production, the Expedition has shared many of the mechanical and body components of the Ford F-150 in production. The vehicle is sold in both regular and extended lengths. The extended length, also known as the Expedition EL/Max was first introduced in 2007 and is considered the replacement for the Ford Excursion. The car was manufactured in Michigan until 2009, where it was moved to production in Kentucky. The first generation of the car was produced from 1997-2002, the second from 2003-2006, the third from 2007-2017, and the fourth taking over in 2018.

It’s important that the parts you use on your Ford Expedition are high-quality and manufactured to fit inside your specific model. If you settle for aftermarket parts, you might be getting components that don’t install quite right, which can cause additional problems down the line. It’s not worth saving a bit of money upfront to have to redo the work shortly after. OEM parts are going to allow you to be confident when making installations and repairs to your Expedition.
